The life and times of the Sioux tribe

Long ago there was a group called the Sioux tribe. Lakota and Dakota is the same tribal name of one of the sioux tribes. They hunted for animals such as buffalo, elk, and deer. They were known to be nomadic hunters. They were called this because they would move from one place to another to search for food. The foods that they ate was corn, chokecherries, and potatoes.

They lived in the area that is now Wisconsin, Minnesota, and North and South Dakota. Also the weather their was hot. For entertainment they like to play with each other, go to school, help around the house, go fishing with their fathers, and play with toys. Their religions consist of religious ceremonies, like buffalo dances and sun dances.  Their wars were quick and fierce battles. They fought to steal horses or captives, and for courage and bravery.
